Receipt date is not the date when the application reaches the service center. It is infact the date when your application is entered into their internal system which could be several days after the application has reached the service center.
And all application they enter into the system.. then give us a Receipt Date Right ... from that time we can apply for EAD / AP (will take time again)

I don't what how you define "most" but I am EB2 with US masters with PD 2006 and I am still waiting. Many of my friends with US masters are still waiting.

Not to put any dampers here, but this is extremely frustrating for the EB3 India folks. I mean how freakin long do WE have to wait before we get our turn!
I am EB3-India with PD of August 2003. I am anticipating at least another 2 years. Any forward movement in any category is good news to me.

As EB1 is Cureent, presume processing applications up date, EB3 is Unavailable, means no work to do for USCIS people as far as EB3 Adjudicate cases, leave EB4, EB5 categories aside which dont have many applications to process. Then the only category left for working with is EB2 and that also having ROW being current, the adjuticate applications left for processing with available visa numbers are EB2 India for time being. So this means for the next few months including this June 2008 there might be many approvals in
EB2 India category, as because theres no considerable work in EB category for USCIS people except EB2 India Adjudication. So presumably all the available visa numbers will be processed effectively in the EB2 category for the fical year.
It is simple. If the number of pending EB2 Apps before April 1st 2004 (India and China combined) is less than the number of spill over visa numbers, then there will be some forward movement in EB2 next month. If not, the dates will remain the same or may even retrogress.

Spoke to Congresswoman Office personnel in CA . Congresswoman Eshoo office staff and Congresswoman Lofgren office staff. Going to contact Senator Clinton. I had contributed towards her Presidential Campaign.
Going to meet Congress Congresswoman Eshoo staff next week.
Do you have your 485 approved ? If not, you are not supposed to contribute to any political campaigns. You have to be a GC holder or citizen to contribute to political campaigns. Its illegal otherwise.

If yes! How come china status is not indicated explicitily as is indicated in travel.state.gov?
Does any one have previous month cut off date from this site ?
I am fairly new to this forum -Excuse my ignorence incase if this does not make any sense.

I am planning to call PBEC for my case. My recruitment was completed early this month but the lawyers haven't received a recruitment report instruction letter. I want to request them to at least send the letter since everything else is ready. Did anyone have any luck calling on their own? Or do they only want to speak with employer/attorney?
Although, filing 485 now doesn't seem possible in this narrow time frame... still want to give it a last shot.

First of all, forget about back firing, can we get 100 people to do this. IV has been trying for funds and i dont think even 10% have contributed..why would u think any one would loose a pay day? even if you take 20$/hour i.e 160$ per day. Lot of members are not ready to contribute 50 bucks :) There might be a few who can not contribute due to various reasons and i totally sympathize with them but what about the remaining?
My point is not to discourage but just for a reality check

EB-3 I wake up and send the letter out..we need to make relevant authorities aware of our situation. Uncertanity and doom stares us come on EB-3 I lets see some action!
