It depends upon your luck with AP. Because you never know when they will be approving your AP and in case it is lost in Mail (it happens to lot of people) and you need to re-apply with fees again. This is very tricky....... You may get it in few weeks or few months or never. Not to discourage you, it really how lucky you are. All the best. I always will file 3-4 months in advance.

I applied for green card via national interest waiver category, and I decided to obtain green card through consular processing. To be eligible to get the immigrant visa in my home country, I showed consulate an offer letter from a U.S. company.
My question is , do I really have to work on that job after I enter U.S. ? Because I am not very interested in that position. And I am thinking about studying for an MBA, instead of working.
I was given a temporary green card when I entered the custom. It usually takes 2 month to get the official green card. But if I reject that offer , would my green card be revoked ?

I am having a problem and dont know where to start on this one, my experience in c# programming is average and was hoping for some advice on this subject. I have a disc image (an exact duplicate of a 40gb hard disc drive) the format is a dd image.
My task requires me to programmatically read through the files on this image, compare file extensions and recognise certain file types on the drive. Is this possible? I cannot find anyone who has attempted this on the internet and would appreciate any guidance to get the ball rolling.

It all depends if your I-140 has been filed and approved and the I-485 has been pending for 6 months+.
If your I-140 has been approved and six months have passed since the filing of the I-485 then you should have no problem working in the same/similar job capacity under AC21 provisions.
Having said that, I don't know what the USCIS would do nowadays given the really bad economy.

Can I travle outside US after applying for conversion. Need some one to response ASAP

I had an H1 for about 3 years (2 different employers), and then was hired by an international organization. I gave up the H1 and got a G4 visa, which I still have. Over the last 3 years with a G4, my credentials have changed, and am due to get my masters degree in May 2008. If I were to move to a job requiring H1 when I get my masters, will the total number of years allowed for me to hold an H1 roll back to 6 years? I'm thinking that since the skills I had as an H1B visa holder before have changed now.
