    I am on H1B extension. Means my stamp is expired.
    I have a ticket to go to India. I am traveling through the following route

    Boston- London- Bahrain - Bombay.

    I heard that I need to have transit visa for UK as my connection is in UK (2 Hrs).
    I don't have the UK visa and I will not have the US visa at the time of entry in UK.

    I have very sort time now in my hand.

    1. I really need to have the UK transit visa?
    2. Yes then how to get this?

    What should I do now?

    It seems that the TSC is processing the applications in the alphabetical order of the state. The info is based on some chinese forum. I am not sure how true the info is.

    Are there any one from New York/New Jersey who have already got the receipt numbers? I have filed from NY and no info yet on our I-485. BTW, I am a july 2nd filer.

    My father in law mistakenly entered the wrong date for his date of arrival in the U.S. (entered data in Indian style) on his citizenship application form. The number of days out of the country was also wrong.

    Is there a way to rectify this mistake and inform USCIS about this ? Is there a form, or can we simply write a letter regarding the errors to the USCIS office ?

    What would be the best way to address this issue ?

    Hi All,

    My wife is on her first year of OPT, she is masters in STEM so she is eligible for 17 month extension.

    In-order to re-new her OPT she needs get herself e-verified. However, her employer said thay they are not registered for e-verify system.
    My question is �
    - Is it possible to renew OPT without e-verification, if yes how?
    - What are options in that case if her employer does not e-verify?

    If you resigned, then I dont think company is liable for any severance. I work for a bank and they have a policy that they consider attrition due to visa issues (like unable to extend H1 etc) as termination for employment. They pay severance only for displacements which happens due to lay offs. I may be wrong and policy might be different in your company but just my 2 cents.

    I was just wondering why legal immigration is not generating any interest with the beloved politicians in this country. Inside the mind of these politicians... I guess their agenda is very clear.

    Immigration support for illegals = hispanic votes = reelection!
    Immigration support for widows = sympathy votes = reelection!
    Immigration support for same sex partners = more votes = reelection!
    Immigration support for serving the military = Show of patriotism = society respect!
    ...
    ...

    But,
    Immigration support for legal immigrants = what's the use = not a penny worth!!!
